The Company
Au2genbrug.dk A/S, a limited company registered in Denmark under Danish Law, was established in 2003 by 19 Automotive Recyclers/Vehicle Dismantlers, which all have equal shares.
Between them the 19 shareholders, who are all ISO-14001 environment certified and as such Authorised Treatment Facilities for End-of-Life-Vehicles (elvs) according to the EU elv-directive 2000/53/EC as implemented in Danish Legislation. Between them, the companies handle some 15.000 elvs per year - out of 80.000 in Denmark in total.
Further, the 19 companies between them acquire around 2.500 Danish accident vehicles, as well as they import parts, components and accident cars from abroad.
Totally the 19 companies have just over 200 employees and a yearly turnover (2003) of over 200 mill. DKK, equivalent to some 30 mill. euro. The companies are on the fore-front in the sector in Denmark, business wise as well as concerning technology – all companies have or is in the process of implementing implement an ISO-9000 certified quality management system, especially concerning the quality of used car parts and component. This system is based on a computerised system for functionality testing of all parts and component. All available parts are therefore assigned quality codes before they are entered into a common, fully computerised stock-control system, which holds in total more than 2.5 million parts and components. This system is also available via the Internet.
